Oh my god, I love this. I need to get this unit.

Nice unit, however the voice entry shown on the video by passes a very key safety element of confirming the actual position in question for each waypont vs. the manual mode which shows you the exact co-ordinates or the right frequency for the navaid selected each time, omitting the selection of a wrong position with the similar names. It reminds me of the sad tragedy of B757 American into Cali that selected a wrong navaid from its FMS data base with the >>exact<< same name but 150 nm away in Bogota and end up heading its own shadow away from a runway. I also think the extra weight (less room for fuel and payload) and cost ($3000) don't justify a 3 mins (according to the video) saving time. I am sure one can always confirm each waypoint and its correct location on the selected flight plan before executing and activating the route but then you won't be saving any time vs the manual mode if you do that each time anyway. I don't buy the sales point on the video in regards to the extra time that the system gives you for keeping your eyes out and looking for the traffic as most of the time you enter your route on the ground and not in the air. The only feature I liked was the direct option. But again my information is from a short video. If the cost and extra weight justifies the added safety then I am all for it but I have to buy an airplane first. my 2 cents.
