AOPA Annual Convention will be on November 6-8, 2008 in San Jose California. How about a group flight? Please let us know if you are intersted.

We are planning to have a quick flight to AirVenture Oshkosh with my T210. At first we thought we could take David's 414 which is a lot more comfortable and has more leg room. Unfortunately with todays fuel cost it will not justify 3-4 people on that trip. So our plans is to fly out on early a.m. Friday August 1th and Return back on Sunday. I know its short but great excuse to fly across country. Let us know if you like to fly as a group.

Fellow pilots, it's time to have another family and friends Fly-In. That includes significant other, kids, mom and dad... We have not had much luck with good turnout on these fly-ins. We hope this time will be an exception. I am suggesting Paso Robles sometime in July or early August.  Please email me your suggestion.  We might invite one persian TV cast along to capture the event.

We are planing to have a flight to Punta Pescadero Mexico (PPC) for memorial week-end. There will be about 5-6 airplane flying for that week-end. You are more than welcome to fly there if interested.  Here is the hotel to book your room.

Dear members, we would like to invite you for a barbecue on Saturday May 17th 2008 at Chino 2008 airshow. Please RSVP as soon as possible with your total count.

During both airshow, Chino Airport airspace will be colsed to departing and arriving traffic from 11:15 AM to 12:25 and from 12:55 to 4:00 PM.  The airport will be open for arrivals and departures from 12:25 to 12:55. 

Not many people had shown interest for this fly-in. We most likely have to cancel it.

I am planning to fly to the Sun & Fun www.sun-n-fun.org at Lakland Florida this year. This is a similar to Oshkosh. The event starts on April 8th and ends on the13th, but I will be there between the 10th -13th.

If any of you guys are interested to have a ‘Persian Pilots Fly-In” several aircraft from the West cost to Lakeland, we can also take an additional day to fly to Bahamas from Lakeland.

For those of us who have never done this, it is a great experience. And for what it worth, I can share some of my experience with you to make it a safe flight.  You get to fly the international airway, do a short cross oceanic flight and land in a different country and enjoy Caribbean beaches for a day. It is only a 190k mile from Lakland and flying in groups of several aircrafts will make everyone feel safer, and it is only over a 60k miles span  that you do not see land (from 8000 feed altitude). After that, there is always an Island in sight. There are some rules and regulation to learn to fly a small aircraft internationally, but I think it will be a great experience.
